This flashcard set is a starting point, not a full curriculum. Once you've got these phrases down, a few genuinely useful next steps:
- Podcasts — Practice Portuguese and Portuguese with Carla are both specifically aimed at European Portuguese learners.
- Language exchange — apps like Tandem or HelloTalk connect you with native Portuguese speakers learning your language, so you both get real practice.
- A tutor — iTalki or Preply make it easy to find a native-speaking tutor for regular, structured practice.
- Formal classes — schools like CIAL or Lusa Language School specialise in European Portuguese, in Portugal or online.
A short daily routine — even just 20-30 minutes — tends to beat occasional long study sessions. Small, consistent practice is what actually gets you to A2 and beyond.

Will this get me to A2 on its own?
No — A2 is a formally tested proficiency level covering much more
than 33 phrases. Think of this as a fun, genuinely useful starting
point and daily habit-builder, not a replacement for proper study or
a course.
